Apple Dumplings Deluxe

Ingredients
  Egg 1 , beaten
  Dairy sour cream 8 Ounce (Carton)
  All purpose flour 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Granulated sugar 2 Tablespoon
  Baking powder 2 Teaspoon
  Baking soda 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Thinly sliced peeled cooking apples 4 Cup (64 tbs)
  Granulated sugar 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Ground cinnamon 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Ground nutmeg 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Water 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Packed brown sugar 1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs)
  Cornstarch 2 Tablespoon
  Lemon juice 2 Tablespoon
  Margarine/Butter 2 Tablespoon
Directions

1 Grease a 13x9x2-inch baking pan. Set aside.
2 For dough, in a medium mixing bowl combine the egg and sour cream. In a large mixing bowl stir together the flour, the 2 tablespoons granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt; add to sour cream mixture. Mix well.
3 On a well-floured surface, roll out dough to a 12-inch square. Spread apples over dough. In a small mixing bowl combine the 1/4 cup granulated sugar, the cinnamon, and nutmeg; sprinkle over the apples. Carefully roll up, jelly-roll style. Cut into twelve 1-inch-thick slices. Place slices, cut sides down, in prepared pan.
4 In a medium mixing bowl stir together the water, brown sugar, the 1/4 cup granulated sugar, the cornstarch, and lemon juice; pour over slices in pan. Dot with the margarine or butter.
5 Bake, uncovered, in a 350° oven for 35 to 40 minutes or until golden brown.
