|Yeast||1⁄4 Ounce (1 Package)|
|Lukewarm water||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Melted butter||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Whole wheat flour||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Apples||8 , peeled and cored|
|Honey||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Chopped nuts||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), chopped|
|Raisins||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Cinnamon butter||1 Teaspoon|
Soften yeast in lukewarm water.
Add butter, honey, and salt.
Blend in egg.
Add flour and mix until dough is well blended and soft.
Roll out on well-floured board to 1/8 inch thickness.
Cut into 8 6-inch squares.
Mix the honey, nuts, raisins, and cinnamon for filling.
Fill each apple with filling and dot with butter.
Place an apple in the center of each square of dough; moisten edges, bring corners together, and seal at the top.
Place on greased baking sheet, cover with cloth, and let rise in warm place for 45 minutes.
Preheat oven to 350° F.
Bake dumplings for 1 hour in preheated oven.
