Chinese Peas And Water Chestnuts
|Chopped green onions||3 Tablespoon, chopped|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), minced|
|Frozen pea pods||12 Ounce, Defrosted (2 packages, 6 ounce each)|
|Canned water chestnuts||8 Ounce, drained (1 can)|
|Chicken broth||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Soy sauce||2 Tablespoon|
Place onions, garlic and butter in a 1 1/2 qt.glass casserole dish.
Cover and microwave 2 to 3 minutes or until tender.
Add pea pods, water chestnuts, chicken broth and soy sauce.
Cover and microwave 5 to 7 minutes.
Combine cornstarch and water.
Stir cornstarch mixture into vegetables.
Microwave 4 to 6 minutes or until thickened.
Stir twice during cooking.
Let stand 3 to 5 minutes.
