Storied Life

One of the best moments (maybe it would be better to say “the best series of moments,” as I remember one such occasion that lasted for three days, but we were full of vim and vigor then) of any afternoon or evening spent relaxing around a table with, say, three or four boon companions is when the tales are spun. Once tongues are loosened, the yarns are told and told again. Remember that one time, and the bull that chased you across the field? Or that time you ended up winning 16 games of shuffleboard in a row? Or that time you woke up on a plane to Bermuda? If you have a punch bowl, and are heading towards an evening of stories and song, may I suggest the following punch as a participant? You may end up with even more stories the next day.
Ingredients
Cracked ice 2 Tablespoon (Adjust Quantity As Needed)
Crushed ice 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Bourbon 12 Ounce
  Sweet vermouth 6 Ounce
Freshly squeezed orange juice 6 Ounce
  Campari 3 Ounce
Prosecco 750 Milliliter, chilled (One Bottle)
  Orange 1 , sliced
Directions

Fill a punch bowl halfway full with cracked ice.

Add the bourbon, vermouth, orange juice, and Campari. Stir well with a long spoon or a pencil.

Pour in the Prosecco and add the orange slices. Stir again, briefly, and then serve in sturdy punch bowls or cups.
