Here's another one of those classic cocktails, the Sidecar, that seems to have gone by the wayside. One of the few good drinks to emerge during Prohibition It's a rather elegant and well-balanced drink of sweetness and citrus with a solid body of cognac. I'd rather forgotten about it myself but you can be sure it's now back on my list of favorites.
1. In a cocktail shaker, add cognac, triple sec, lime juice along with ice and shake well.
2. Strain into a cocktail glass.
3. Garnish with orange wedge and serve chilled.
Rim the glass with sugar or add simple syrup into the drink, if you wish.
