Old-Fashioned Boiled Dressing is an amazingly delicious recipe version. An easy to make recipe, you will simply find this Old-Fashioned Boiled Dressing both mouth-watering and amazingly tempting.
  Butter/Margarine 1 Tablespoon
  Flour 1 Tablespoon
  Sugar 1 Tablespoon
  Dry mustard 1 Teaspoon
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Vinegar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), heated
  Eggs 2 , well beaten
  Milk 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Cayenne 1 Dash

In the top of a double boiler mix together the flour, sugar, mustard, salt, cayenne, eggs, and milk; add heated vinegar.
Place over boiling water and cook, stirring constantly, about 10 minutes, or until thickened.
Remove from heat and add butter.
Beat briefly with a rotary beater to ensure perfect smoothness.
Thin dressing with fruit juice, lemon juice, milk, or cream before using. Or fold in whipped cream.
