Cooked Salad Dressing
|Dry mustard||2 Teaspoon|
|Unflavored gelatin||1⁄2 Tablespoon (Half Envelope)|
|Cold water||4 Teaspoon|
|Hot water||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Melted butter/Margarine||1 Tablespoon|
|Egg||1 , well beaten|
|Cider vinegar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
Soften gelatin in cold water.
Add hot water to mustard mixture; stir until blended.
To this add gelatin and butter or margarine; stir until gelatin dissolves.
Stir hot mixture slowly into beaten egg.
Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture begins to thicken.
Remove from heat; stir in vinegar.
Pour into jar; set aside to cool and thicken.
