Puff Ball Doughnuts

Puff ball doughnuts are sweet little doughnuts rolled in sugar. Prepared with a thin batter of milk, eggs, sugar, flour and lemon flavoring along with salt, the puff ball doughnuts are deep fried and can be served as sweet snacks.
Ingredients
  Eggs 3 , beaten
  White sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Milk 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Lemon flavoring 1 Teaspoon
  Unsifted all purpose flour 3 Cup (48 tbs)
  Baking powder 3 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
Directions

Beat eggs, add sugar and beat well.
Add milk and flavoring.
Sift flour, baking powder and salt together and fold into egg mixture.
The batter will be thin.
Drop by two teaspoons in deep fat heated to 370 F (or until a cube of day old bread browns in 60 seconds).
The doughnuts should turn over by themselves, if not turn with a fork (do not pierce).
Drain and roll in sugar.
