Banana Doughnuts

Ingredients
  Shortening 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Egg 3 , beaten
  Mashed ripe bananas 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Buttermilk 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Vanilla extract 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  All purpose flour 5 Cup (80 tbs)
  Baking powder 15 Gram
  Salt 2 Teaspoon
  Baking soda 1 Teaspoon
  Ground nutmeg 1 Teaspoon
  Vegetable oil 2 Cup (32 tbs) (For Frying)
  Powdered sugar 2 Dash, sifted (For Garnishing)
Directions

Cream shortening, gradually add sugar, beating well.
Add eggs, and beat mixture well.
Set aside.
Combine banana, buttermilk, and vanilla in a small bowl.
Set aside.
Combine flour, baking powder, salt, soda, and nutmeg, add flour mixture to creamed mixture alternately with banana mixture, beginning and ending with flour mixture.
Mix ingredients well after each addition.
Place dough on a lightly floured surface, and roll out to 1/2-inch thickness.
Cut dough with a floured 2 1/2-inch doughnut cutter.
Heat 3 to 4 inches of oil to 375°, drop in 3 to 4 doughnuts at a time.
Cook about 1 minute on each side or until golden brown.
Drain on paper towels.
Toss doughnuts in powdered sugar; cool.
