Tea Doughnuts

Tea Doughnuts are a great snack when you have those sweet cravings! Well flavored with vanilla and nutmeg, these go great topped with whipped cream. A simple and delicious snack, but make sure you watch how many you eat!
Ingredients
  Flour 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Fat 2 Cup (32 tbs) (for deep frying)
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Baking powder 2 Teaspoon
  Cinnamon 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Nutmeg 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Egg 1
  Sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Butter 1 Tablespoon, melted
  Milk 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Vanilla 1 Teaspoon
  Grated lemon rind 1 Tablespoon
Directions

MAKING
1) In a bowl, combine the flour, salt, baking powder, and spices.
2) Beat in the egg and stir in the sugar and butter.
3) Add in the flour mix alternating with milk.
4) Mix till smooth.
5) Fold in the vanilla and lemon rind.
6) In a skillet, heat deep fat.
7) Drop the dough by teaspoonfuls into the hot fat.
8) Fry for about 5 minutes, till brown.

SERVING
9) Serve topped with whipped cream.
