Buttermilk Doughnuts

Ingredients
  Eggs 2
  Granulated sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Cooking oil 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Vanilla 1 Teaspoon
  All purpose flour 4 Cup (64 tbs)
  Baking powder 4 Teaspoon
  Salt 3⁄4 Teaspoon
  Baking soda 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Buttermilk 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Fat 2 Cup (32 tbs) (For Deep Frying)
Directions

In large mixing bowl beat eggs till thick and lemon colored.
Add the granulated sugar and beat till smooth.
Stir in the oil and vanilla.
Thoroughly stir together flour, baking powder, salt, and soda.
Add to egg mixture alternately with buttermilk.
Turn out onto a lightly floured surface and roll to 1/2-inch thickness.
Cut dough with floured doughnut cutter.
Fry in deep hot fat (375°) till golden brown, about 3 minutes, turning once.
Drain on paper toweling.
