Short Dough For Pies

Ingredients
  Sifted flour 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Sugar 1 Tablespoon
  Salt 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Butter 4 Tablespoon
  Egg yolk 1
Directions

Combine flour, Sugar, and salt cut in butter with pastry blender or 2 knives, add slightly beaten egg yolk and mix thoroughly.
Press into piepan to1/4 in., thickness.
Use fruit filling and bake according to directions for filling.
