Basic Sweet Dough
|Warm milk||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Unrefined safflower oil||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Raw honey||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
|Sea salt||2 Teaspoon|
|Whole wheat flour||8 Cup (128 tbs)|
|Ground nutmeg/Mace, or cardamom||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Chopped nuts||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
Sprinkle yeast into milk.
Stir until yeast is dissolved.
Add oil, honey, salt, eggs, and grated rind and lemon juice.
Stir in flour and spice.
Dough should be softer than for loaf bread.
Place the dough on a lightly floured board and knead.
Put in an oiled bowl.
Turn to oil the surface.
Cover and let rise in a warm place until double in bulk.
Shape into coffee cakes, cinnamon rolls, tea rings, twists, braids, etc.
Brush with butter.
Let rise until almost doubled.
Bake in 350Â° oven.
Bake some now, freeze some for company.
Wrap shaped breads, cakes, or rolls in freezer wrap and freeze.
