Ingredients
  Sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Shortening 6 Tablespoon
  Milk 1 Cup (16 tbs), scalded
  Scalded milk 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Flour 7 Cup (112 tbs)
  Yeast 1⁄2 Ounce, dissolved in 1 cup warm water (2 Packages)
  Yeast 2 Tablespoon, dissolved (2 Packages)
  Warm water 1 Cup (16 tbs) (For Dissolving The Yeast)
  Eggs 3 , well beaten
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
Directions

Cream sugar & shortening, then add hot milk; let cool.
Add 2 cups flour slowly; stir in to make a batter.
Combine eggs & yeast water, add, and beat lightly.
Sprinkle salt over mixture, set aside for a few minutes.
Add remainder of flour slowly, beating lightly as you do.
Place in greased bowl, cover, set in warm place, and let rise until doubled.
Can be rolled out, brushed with butter and sprinkled with mixed cinnamon & sugar, rolled up, and cut into cinnamon rolls; or it can be rolled out & cut into doughnuts.
This is a good recipe to be used for several sweet breads.
