Ingredients
  Margarine 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Sugar 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Egg 1
  Vanilla 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Sifted flour 3 1⁄2 Cup (56 tbs)
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
Directions

MAKING
1) In a bowl, add the margarine and beat well till light and fluffy.
2) Slowly add in the sugar, creaming till thoroughly blended.
3) Mix in the egg and vanilla and beat well.
4) Combine and sift the flour and salt.
5) Sift into the creamed mixture.
6) Mix well, using a spoon, and then using your hands for a smooth dough.
7) Refrigerate before using.

SERVING
8) Use dough for filled rookies.

Made these up this morning but no cooking instructions, also converting from cups to gramms or ounces makes things interesting and the dough was slightly crumbly to roll out, i'm guessing less flour?

Just finished baking my first ever batch of these cookies and they turned out really well. I used 230g butter, 150g caster sugar, 150g dark brown sugar, 1 egg, 450g plain flour, 1 teaspoon salt and one teaspoon bicarbonate of soda. Next time might add chocolate to the mix. Baked for 15 mins in middle of oven at 190oc.
