Butter sides of heavy 2 quart saucepan.
In it, cook 2 cups maple flavored cane syrup rapidly over high heat to hard-ball stage (250Â°) without stirring.
Remove from heat.
At once beat 2 egg whites with 1/4 teaspoon salt to stiff peaks.
Following directions for Divinity, add hot syrup to egg whites and beat.
Quickly add 1/2 CUP broken pecans; drop by teaspoons on waxed paper; swirl each candy to peak.
