We followed the vanilla ice cream recipe from the zoku manual and then added 1/2 cup of strawberries and 1/2 cup of blueberries.
For ice cream: | ||
Milk | 1 1/2 Cup (24 tbs) | |
Cream | 1 1/2 Cup (24 tbs) | |
Granulated sugar | 2/3 Cup (10.67 tbs) | |
Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
Vanilla bean | 1 | |
Vanilla extract | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
For strawberry mixture: | ||
Fresh strawberries | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) , quartered | |
Sugar | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Balsamic vinegar | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Rosemary sprig | 100 Gram ((((1 sprig)))) | |
For blueberry mixture: | ||
Blueberries | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
Chopped fresh mint | 1 Pinch |
GETTING READY:
1.Ice cream maker, place the bowl for 12 hours in the freezer.
FOR ICE CREAM:
2.Mix ice cream ingredients and stir into bowl.
3.Let mixture cool in freezer until it reaches 40 degrees F.
FOR STRAWBERRY MIXTURE:
1.Simmer strawberries, sugar and vinegar for about 15 minutes then give a 1 second pulse in a blender. Slightly chunky is encouraged, here.
FOR BLUEBERRY MIXTURE:
1.Muddle up blueberries and min in mortar and pestle.
SERVING:
2.Add fresh fruit purees to ice cream and serve.
