Chocolate Malt Brownies

Chocolate and Malt - the two go together like no other! Its always great when you can combine a few of your favourite things into one recipe.

Ingredients

All purpose flour 125 Gram ((1 cup))
Malted milk powder 70 Gram ((milk drink powder,1/2 cup))
Coarse salt 2 Milliliter ((1/2 tsp))
Baking powder 2 Milliliter ((1/2 tsp))
Chopped chocolate 225 Gram ((1 1/3 cup))
Butter 119 Gram ((1/2 cup))
Eggs 2 Large
Sugar 175 Gram ((3/4 cup))
Pure vanilla extract 5 Milliliter ((1 tsp))
Chocolate covered malt balls 120 Gram , chop ((roughly chopped,Maltesers, Whoppers, Whispers, Mighty Malts, Ovalteenies))

Directions

GETTING READY:

1.Preheat oven to 350F (180C).

2.Grease a 9 x 9 (23 x 23 cm) pan and line with a parchment paper sling.

MAKING:

3.Whisk together the flour, malted milk powder, salt and baking powder.

4.Combine chocolate and butter in a heatproof bowl or measuring cup.

5.Microwave for 30 seconds then stir.

6.Repeat until chocolate and butter are melted.

7.In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, sugar and vanilla until smooth.

8.Whisk in the slightly cooled chocolate mixture.

9.Fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients.

10.Fold 2/3 of the chopped Maltesers into the batter.

11.Pour the batter into the pan and scatter on the remaining Maltesers.

12.Bake just until a cake tester inserted in the centre comes out with a few moist crumbs attached.

13.That should be 30 to 35 minutes - but dont overbake, that can lead to a bitter flavour.

14.Allow brownies to cool completely in the pan.

15.Cut into as many or as few brownies as you wish.
