Bread dip is a dip made to be served with bread. Bread dips can be served with all kinds of breads, including banana bread, rye bread, spiced bread, seasoned bread etcetera. Bread dips are generally made with the traditional dip ingredients like mayonnaise, cream cheese, chopped onions or onion flakes, salt and pepper. Bread dips are often flavored with olive oil or dill. The bread dips are usually served in bread bowls which are made from round loafs by scooping the center of the bread out. Bread dips re usually served chilled by refrigerating overnight.
