1. Rinse the chickpeas and drain well.
2. In a food processor, place the chickpeas, parsley, sage, red peppers, salt, pepper, lemon juice and olive oil.
3. Put the lid on and process for about 3 to 5 minutes or until the mixture turns into coarse paste.
4. In a serving bowl, transfer the hummus and serve it with warm pita breads if desired.
