Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
Melt butter in 13 x 9 1/2 x 2-inch pan.
Sift dry ingredients into bowl; add milk, stirring slowly until dough just clings together.
Turn out onto well-floured board.
Knead lightly 10 times.
Roll out 1/2 inch thick into 8 x 12-inch rectangle.
Cut in half lengthwise; cut crosswise into 16 strips.
Dip each strip on both sides in melted butter; place close together in 2 rows in pan.
Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, until golden brown.
