Oriental Miso Dip

HealthyVegan's picture
This vegan dip recipe is based on miso, which is a fermented soybean paste, and flavored with toasted sesame oil. It makes a great dip for vegetables or spring rolls, or can be used as a salad dressing. One of my favorite uses for this healthy vegan recipe is as a dressing for a kale salad. Today, I used it as a dip for some steamed rutabaga and carrot fries. I just use the word 'fries' to describe their shape, since they were steamed and not fried ;)
  Miso 1 Tablespoon
  Apple cider vinegar 1 Tablespoon
  Tamari soy sauce 1 Teaspoon
  Toasted sesame oil 1⁄2 Teaspoon
Ginger piece 1⁄2 Inch, grated and juiced
  Maple syrup 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Sesame seeds 1 Tablespoon

1. Put all of the ingredients together in a bowl and stir together until smooth and creamy.
2. If you're using this as a salad dressing, you may want to thin it out a bit with water or more vinegar. I hope you enjoy this vegan dip recipe, the latest of my healthy vegan recipes.
