Hot Cheese Chip Dip
|Bacon slices||4 , cut into pieces|
|Onion||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), chopped|
|American cheese||1 Cup (16 tbs), shredded|
|Chili powder||1⁄8 Teaspoon|
|Wheat chips/Rye chips crackers / crisp vegetable relishes||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Place bacon in 1-qt casserole or small microwave-proof bowl.
Microwave at High 2 to 3 minutes, or until almost crisp, stirring once.
Drain off fat.
Stir in onion.
Microwave at High 2 to 3 minutes, or until onion is golden, stirring once.
Sprinkle with cheese and chili powder.
Do not stir.
Microwave at 50% (Medium) 1 1/2 to 3 minutes, or until cheese is melted, rotating 1/4 turn every 30 seconds.
Serve hot with chips, crackers or vegetables.
