Caramel Rum Fruit Dip

|Butter||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Caramels||14 Ounce, unwrapped (1 Package)|
|Chopped pecans||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Cut-up fresh fruit||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
In 2-quart saucepan melt butter and caramels over low heat, stirring occasionally, until caramels are melted (12 to 15 minutes).
Stir in pecans, milk and rum.
Stir vigorously to incorporate butter.
Keep warm; use as a dip for cut-up fresh fruit.
