Melted Cheese Dip
|Homemade fried tortilla chips||1 1⁄2 Ounce|
|Onion||1 Medium, finely chopped|
|Heavy cream||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Shredded longhorn cheddar cheese/Chihuahua cheese||4 Ounce (1 Cup)|
|Green bell peppers/Red bell peppers||6 Medium, seeded and cut into 1/2-inch-wide strips|
Prepare Fried Tortilla Chips; set aside.
In a 3- to 4-quart pan, combine oil and onion.
Cook, stirring, over medium heat until onion is soft (about 7 minutes).
Add chiles and cream.
Cook, stirring, until hot.
Reduce heat to low and add cheese, stirring until melted.
Pour into a chafing or fondue dish over a low flame or into a dish on an electric warming tray (low setting).
Offer with bell pepper strips and chips.
