Melted Cheese Dip

Ingredients
  Homemade fried tortilla chips 1 1⁄2 Ounce
  Onion 1 Medium, finely chopped
  Heavy cream 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Shredded longhorn cheddar cheese/Chihuahua cheese 4 Ounce (1 Cup)
  Green bell peppers/Red bell peppers 6 Medium, seeded and cut into 1/2-inch-wide strips
Directions

Prepare Fried Tortilla Chips; set aside.
In a 3- to 4-quart pan, combine oil and onion.
Cook, stirring, over medium heat until onion is soft (about 7 minutes).
Add chiles and cream.
Cook, stirring, until hot.
Reduce heat to low and add cheese, stirring until melted.
Pour into a chafing or fondue dish over a low flame or into a dish on an electric warming tray (low setting).
Offer with bell pepper strips and chips.
