Red Lentil Dip

Ingredients
  Red lentils 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Plain low-fat yogurt 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Bottled salsa 2 Tablespoon (Medium Hot)
  Chopped chives 1 Tablespoon (Fresh)
  Hot pepper sauce 1 Dash
  Salt 1 Pinch
Directions

1. Place the lentils and 1 cup of water in a small saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat. Cover the pan, reduce the heat to low and simmer the lentils about 20 minutes, or until they are tender.
2. Transfer the lentils and any remaining liquid to a food processor or blender and process until smooth. Add the remaining ingredients and process until smooth, scraping down the sides of the container with a rubber spatula as necessary.
