North Of The Border Dip
|Lean ground beef||1⁄2 Pound|
|Onion||1 Small, chopped|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), minced|
|Tomatoes||2 , chopped|
|Canned tomato paste||6 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Green chili pepper||1 , seeded, chopped (Fresh / Canned)|
|Chopped raisins||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Chopped toasted almonds||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Corn chips||1 Cup (16 tbs) (For Dipping)|
In a medium skillet, cook beef and onion until beef is browned.
Stir with a fork or spoon to crumble meat.
Stir in salt, garlic, tomatoes, tomato paste, chili pepper and raisins.
Stirring occasionally, cook over low heat about 10 minutes.
Stir in almonds.
