Cheesy Hot Clam Dip

Ingredients
  Butter 3 Tablespoon
  Onion 1 , chopped
  Green pepper 1⁄2 , chopped
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm), minced
  Canned minced clams 15 Ounce (Two 7.5 Ounce Can)
  Mild cheddar cheese 1 Cup (16 tbs), grated
  Cayenne 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Catsup 4 Tablespoon
  Worcestershire sauce 1 Tablespoon
  Sherry 3 Tablespoon
Directions

Melt butter in double boiler.
Saute onion and green pepper 5 minutes over direct heat.
Drain clams.
Cut cheese into small pieces.
Put all ingredients in double boiler.
Cook over water until cheese melts; stir often.
