Dry fruits: Nuts like almonds, raisins, cashews, etc., form an important part of the diet regime. 1/3rd cup is to be consumed 5 times a week under a general PCOS diet plan. Nuts are known to keep the condition under check and also work towards slowing down its progress. Research has shown that religious consumption of dry fruits can also completely eliminate the problem.

 

Polycystic Ovary Syndrome: Foods to be Avoided

As the condition is directly related to obesity and weight loss is the most effective treatment, all fattening foods which are high in calorie and carbohydrates contents are strictly avoided. Fried preparation, desserts, packaged juices, cola drinks, alcoholic beverages, etc., are consumed in very limited and regulated quantities, if at all.
