Granola Orange Date Squares

Ingredients
  Butter/Margarine 1 Cup (16 tbs), softened
  Packed brown sugar 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Honey 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Eggs 2 , beaten
  Orange juice 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Grated orange rind 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Vanilla 1 Teaspoon
  All purpose flour 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Whole wheat pastry flour 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Nonfat dry milk powder 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Baking powder 1 Teaspoon
  Granola 2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)
  Chopped dates 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
Directions

Cream butter and sugar.
Add honey, eggs, and orange juice; beat well.
Stir in orange rind and vanilla.
Stir together flours, dry milk, salt, and baking powder in separate bowl.
Add to butter mixture; beat until smooth.
Stir in granola and dates.
Pour into greased 9 x 12-inch baking pan.
Bake at 350 °F 40 to 50 minutes or until done.
Cool; cut into squares.
