Simple Date Peanut Butter Drops
|Obin hood presifted all purpose flour||1 3⁄4 Cup (28 tbs)|
|Baking powder||2 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Shortening||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Peanut butter||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Vanilla extract||1 Teaspoon|
|Eggs||2 , beaten|
|Dates||1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped|
|Milk||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Preheat oven to 350Â° F. (moderate).
Measure flour, baking powder and salt onto waxed paper.
Stir thoroughly to blend.
Cream together shortening, peanut butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Blend in vanilla extract.
Mix in eggs.
Add flour mixture to creamed mixture alternately with milk.
Stir in dates.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheets.
Bake at 350Â° F. for 15 to 20 minutes.
