Stuffed Date Drops
|Pitted dates||1 Pound (70 Pieces)|
|Pecan halves||3 Ounce (1 Package)|
|Shortening||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Medium brown sugar||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Sifted enriched flour||1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs)|
|Baking powder||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Dairy sour cream||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Stuff dates with nut halves.
Thoroughly cream shortening, sugar; beat in egg.
Sift together dry ingredients; add alternately with sour cream to creamed mixture.
Stir in dates.
Drop onto greased cooky sheet (one date per cooky).
Bake at 400° 8 to 10 minutes.
Top with Golden Frosting.
