Date Nuggets

Ingredients
  Egg 1
  Sugar 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) (Natural Or Unredined)
  Vanilla 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Pitted dates 8 Ounce, cut in small (1 Package)
  Walnuts 1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped
  Cereal 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Sugar 1 Tablespoon (Natural Or Unredined)
Directions

1. Beat the egg in a medium-size bowl. Gradually beat in the 1/4 cup sugar. Add vanilla.
2. Add dates, walnuts and cereal to egg-sugar mixture; mix well. Press evenly into a buttered, 8x8x2-inch baking pan.
3. Bake in moderate oven (350°) for 25 minutes, or until lightly browned. Remove from the oven; cool on rack about 10 minutes.
4. While still warm, cut into 1-inch squares. Remove one piece at a time; press into a ball. Roll immediately in the natural or unrefined sugar. When cool, store in a covered jar.
