No Bake Date Balls
|Corn flakes/Wheat / bran flakes||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Pitted dates||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Pecans/Walnuts||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Butter/Margarine||1 Tablespoon, softened|
|Lemon juice||2 Teaspoon|
|Confectioners sugar||3 Tablespoon|
1. Put the corn flakes, dates, and pecans into an electric blender or a food processor, and whirl just until well chopped. Or crush the cereal with your hands, and chop the dates and nuts with a knife.
2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cereal mixture with the honey, butter, and lemon juice. Knead until well mixed, then roll into 1-inch balls.
3. Sprinkle the sugar on a sheet of wax paper, and roll the balls in the sugar. Store in an airtight container.
