Molded Date Delight
|Unflavored gelatin||1 Tablespoon (1 Envelope)|
|Cold water||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Basic carob syrup||1 Tablespoon|
|Hot coffee||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Lemon juice||1 Tablespoon|
|Sliced dates||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Chopped walnuts||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Cream||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), whipped|
Soak gelatin in cold water.
Add honey, carob, salt, hot coffee, and lemon juice.
Stir until gelatin is dissolved.
When gelatin begins to thicken, add dates and nuts.
Fold in the vanilla and half of the whipped cream.
When ready to serve, unmold onto fancy plate and garnish with remaining whipped cream.
