This Banana-Ginger Rice With Dates is quite different from the ones you have tried earlier. This Banana-Ginger Rice With Dates which takes on bananas and dates mixed with rice and a ginger flavor to top it all, easily finds way to the top of my favorite list. You must try this!
  Water 480 Milliliter (2 Cups)
  Caribbean oil 10 Milliliter (2 Teaspoons)
  Molasses 4 Teaspoon
  Ground ginger 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Salt 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Long grain rice 1 Cup (16 tbs) (White/Brown)
  Ripe banana 1 , diced
  Chopped and pitted dates/Raisins 120 Milliliter (1/2 Cup)

In a heavy bottomed, 2-3-quart saucepan bring water, oil, molasses, ginger and salt to a boil.
Add rice and stir well.
Simmer covered for 15 minutes.
Simmer for 5 more minutes with the lid slightly open.
Gently fold the banana and the dates into the rice.
Allow to stand, covered, for 10 minutes.
