|Brown sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Milk||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
|Eggs||3 Small, separated|
1.Mix sugar and flour thoroughly; add milk slowly, stirring until smooth.
2.Cook over boiling water 15 minutes.
3.Stir small amount into beaten egg yolks, then return to remaining hot mixture and cook 2 minutes longer, stirring constantly.
4.Remove from heat and fold gently into egg whites, beaten until stiff but not dry; add vanilla.
6.Serve with ice cream or apple fritters
