Butterscotch Custard

This mock butterscotch custard is a vanilla custard made with sugar and milk along with eggs. A cooked custard, this mock butterscotch is creamy sweet and absolutely delicious. Try it as a simple family desserts on weeknights for fun.
Ingredients
  Brown sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Flour 6 Tablespoon
  Milk 3 Cup (48 tbs)
  Eggs 3 Small, separated
  Vanilla 3⁄4 Teaspoon
Directions

MAKING
1.Mix sugar and flour thoroughly; add milk slowly, stirring until smooth.
2.Cook over boiling water 15 minutes.
3.Stir small amount into beaten egg yolks, then return to remaining hot mixture and cook 2 minutes longer, stirring constantly.
4.Remove from heat and fold gently into egg whites, beaten until stiff but not dry; add vanilla.
5.Cool.
SERVING
6.Serve with ice cream or apple fritters
