|Milk||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
|Sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Eggs||4 , slightly beaten|
Combine 2 cups milk, sugar, and salt in blazer pan of chafing dish over direct high flame, stirring frequently.
Place in water jacket.
Mix remaining milk, eggs and vanilla.
Stir into hot mixture.
Sprinkle spice over top, if desired.
Cover; cook until set, 45 to 50 minutes
