Marsala Custard

This marsala custard is a wonderful dessert custard made with marsala wine and eggs. Simple and easy, the custard is made with added sugar and salt and cooked. Served chilled, this is one of the easiert desserts to make when guests arrive on short notice!
  Egg yolks 6
  Sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Marsala 1 Cup (16 tbs)

In a bowl, beat egg yolks with sugar and salt until lemon colored.
Stir in marsala.
Cook in double boiler over simmering water.
Beat constantly with rotary beater until mixture foams up and begins to thicken.
Turn into sherbet glasses and chill until serving time.
