Melt 1/2 cup sugar in a heavy skillet over low heat, stirring constantly.
When.the syr up turns a pretty golden brown, remove from heat.
Immediately drizzle syrup over warm or chilled Baked Custards in a freehand design.
The syrup will harden into crackly candy.
