Chocolate Custard Sauce
|Baking chocolate squares||2|
|Milk||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Sugar||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
1. Break the chocolate into pieces and combine with the milk in the upper part of a double boiler, place over boiling water and cook until hot but not boiling.
2. Combine the egg yolks, sugar and salt and beat thoroughly.
3. Gradually add the hot chocolate mixture to the egg mixture, beating constantly. Return the mixture to the upper part of the double boiler and cook over hot water 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
4. Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla.
