Scalded Milk Custard
|Eggs/4 egg yolks||2 , slightly beaten|
|Sugar||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Milk||2 Cup (32 tbs), scalded|
Heat oven to 350°.
Blend eggs, sugar, salt and vanilla.
Gradually stir in milk.
Pour into five 6-ounce custard cups.
Sprinkle with nutmeg.
Place cups in baking pan on oven rack; pour very hot water into pan to within 1/2 inch of tops of cups.
Bake until knife inserted halfway between center and edge comes out clean, 40 to 50 minutes.
Remove cups from water.
