Confectioners' Custard

Ingredients
  Milk 1⁄2 Pint
  Cornflour 1⁄2 Ounce
  Egg yolks/1 whole egg 2
  Sugar 1 Ounce
  Vanilla essence 1⁄2 Teaspoon
Directions

Blend the cornflour with the milk, stir in the egg yolks and sugar, and cook over a gentle heat until thick.
Beat in the vanilla.
Allow to cool.
