Velvety Custard Sauce

  Sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Corn starch 2 Tablespoon
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Milk 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Egg yolks 4 , well beaten
  Vanilla 1 Teaspoon (Other Flavorings Can Be Used)

Combine sugar, corn starch and salt in 1-quart bowl.
Mix well.
Gradually add milk to dry ingredients, stirring until mixture is smooth.
Add egg yolks, beating until well combined.
Microwave 3 to 4 minutes on high, uncovered, or until mixture coats a metal spoon, stirring after 2 minutes.
Stir in vanilla or other flavoring and chill thoroughly.
