Baked Custard is a tasty and irresistible Irish dessert. I am pretty fond of this dish not only because its tasty but also because it is one of the first desserts I cooked for my husband after our marriage. Try this Baked Custard recipe.
Ingredients
  Eggs 2
  Milk 2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)
  Egg yolks 2
  Fresh bay leaf 1
  Sugar 2 Tablespoon
  Butter 1 Teaspoon
Directions

Beat the eggs and egg yolks with the sugar.
Scald the milk and pour on the egg mixture while beating.
Add the bay leaf.
Pour into a buttered dish.
Dot here and there with the butter.
Stand the dish in a larger dish containing 1 inch of water and bake at 350° until firm in the center.
Remove bay leaf before serving.
This is a favorite dish in Ireland with stewed fresh fruit and cream.
