|Milk||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Sugar||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
|Cornstarch||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Unsalted butter||2 Tablespoon|
|Vanilla extract||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
In a saucepan, heat milk and sugar.
In a bowl, whip egg yolks and cornstarch.
Dilute in 1/3 cup (80 mL) hot milk mixture.
Bring to a boil remaining sweetened milk.
Beat into egg yolk mixture.
Pour into saucepan.
Cook 1 minute or so, whisking vigorously.
Off heat, whisk in butter and vanilla until creamy smooth.
Let cool until lukewarm.
