Soft Custard Sauce
|Milk||2 Cup (32 tbs), scalded|
|Vanilla extract||1 Teaspoon|
1. Mix the egg yolks, sugar, flour and salt. Add the milk slowly, while stirring.
2. Cook the mixture in the top of a double boiler over hot water, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and coats a metal spoon.
3. Set the pot in cold water for five minutes, stirring occasionally. Strain and add the vanilla.
