To make flan, cream margarine, sugar and syrup.
Crush cornflakes slightly with a rolling pin.
Work into margarine mixture until firm texture.
Press into flan shape on plate.
Leave until ready to serve, then fill with sliced fruit and top with cream or ice cream.
