Simple Curry

Ingredients
  Chana dal 250 Gram
  Water 15 Cup (240 tbs)
  Coriander powder 2 Teaspoon
  Asofoetida 1
  Pomegranate seeds 1 Teaspoon
  Sour curd 1⁄2 Kilogram
  Red chili powder 1 Teaspoon
Ground spices
  Turmeric 1 Teaspoon
  Ghee 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Salt To Taste
Directions

GETTING READY
1 In a bowl, soak 500 gms chana dal overnight.

MAKING
2 Drain well.
3 In a grinder jar, add the dal and grind it finely.
4 Divide the ground dal into two equal portions.
5 In a pan, heat the ghee.
6 Add in asafoetida and fry until brown, crushing it with a spoon.
7 Add in half the dal and fry with turmeric for 10 minutes.
8 In a bowl, beat curd with water.
9 Pour into the pan and stir it until it boils.
10 Add in all the spices and cook on low heat until done.

SERVING
11 Serve hot sprinkled with coriander.
