|Pomfret/2 cups shelled prawns||1 Medium, cut into slices|
|Coconut||3⁄4 , thick milk extracted|
|Red chilies||15 , seeds removed|
|Finely sliced onion||1 Large|
|Tamarind water||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (Thick)|
|Coriander seeds||1 Teaspoon|
|Cumin seeds||1 Teaspoon|
In a pan put onions, salt, ground masala and 2 cups hot water.
Simmer till onions are transparent.
Add in coconut milk.
Give one boil, reduce heat and simmer 5 mins.
Add in tamarind water, cook 5 mins longer.
Add in fish lastly.
Simmer for 5 mins longer.
If prawns are added, put in with coconut milk.
Serve with boiled rice.
